Speaking of embarrassments that people have graciously overlooked, I’ve now gotten City Journal to correct my unaccountable misspelling of your name in my article there. I do know how to spell “Valerie”, but must have been somehow thrown off by the ever-present distraction (at least among we of Scandinavian descent) of the “-sen” vs. “son” suffix business.
