It matters.
Our history and heritage and memories are tied up in objects and books and when we take those away from the next generation, we take yet one more piece of life away from them. I wonder if the clothes on the boy were tested for chemicals and lead, or the riding horse, or the ribbon on the package or the piano keys that he touched? What are we aiming for in our society? To bring our children up in a sterile vacuum?
